Temasek Holdings took its first stake in ABC on May 30, 2007 for $401.5 million. It took a 12.35% stake and paid $7.30 for each share. Starting in February 2008, it increased it shares over the course of several weeks to 14.7%. It picked up an additional 12 million shares. It paid between A$4.20 to A$2.14 a share. It did buy a majority of shares, 8 million, at A$2.14.

The shares of ABC dropped to 54 cents before being suspended in November 2008. It is not known if Temasek sold its stake before the suspension.
