ANA is a hotel and property-management unit company based in Japan. The chain currently has 13 hotels and 2 property-management units. The company is owned by MSREF VI International, a unit of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund. The company was originally started by All Nippon Airways but was bought for $2.4 billion in June 2007. The deal was mostly done with debt. As a result of the global economic crisis, the value of the company has fallen. This has led to speculation that Morgan Stanley might give up the chain to creditors.
According to the Wall Street Journal in February 2010, the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation is interested in purchasing the company.[1]
