PT Adaro Energy (Adaro) is a publicly traded energy company based in Indonesia. Adaro specializes in the production and distribution of Coal GIC Special Investments, a unit of Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) owns a large stake in the company. Most likely the GIC owns around 10%. 36% of the company is owned by Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Farallon Capital, the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation and the Kuok Group. The investors took the stake during Adaro IPO in May 2008.
