Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority before he died after a glider accident. His body was found on March 30, 2010. He had been in charge of the ADIA since 1997. He was also on the board of directors. He was Undersecretary of Ministry of Finance & Industry.
Unlike some other CEOs/MD of other Sovereign wealth funds, Ahmad avoided most media. The only major interview of note was done in January 2010 with a German Newspaper, Handelsblatt. In that interview, he laid out some of what would be revealed in ADIA's annual report released two months later.
On March 26, Al Nahyan was reported missing after a glider, in which he was in, crashed into a lake in Morocco. The pilot of the glider was found unhurt.[1] Al Nehayan's body was found four days after the accident.
He was on the Supreme Petroleum Council.
Personal
He was the son of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nehayan, founder of the United Arab Emirates who died in 2004.
