The Arab Banking Corporation(ABC) is a bank based in Bahrain but operates across the middle east. ABC was formed in 1980 and currently operates in 21 countries. It shares trade in 10 stock markets. The majority of shares are held by the Kuwaiti, Libyan, and Abu Dhabi governments. The Kuwaiti shares are held by the Kuwait Investment Authority; Abu Dhabi's stake are held by Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, while Libya's shares are held by Central Bank of Libya.
The ADIA has sold much of their stake to the Central Bank of Libya. Currently, Libya has a nearly 60% stake in the bank.[1]
