CITIC Capital is a private equity investment company based in China.
The China Investment Corporation owns 40% of the company. The CIC purchased the sake in July 2009 and was announced on August 26 for around $250 million. The remaining shares are owned by CITIC International Financial Holdings and CITIC Pacific Limited. It is also believe that CIC might have given CITIC some extra capital to invest in emerging markets.
