Cheniere Energy is an LNG company based in the United States.
Temasek Holdings and RRJ Capital jointly invested $468 million in the company in May 2012.[1] Temasek and RRJ have made several joint investments. Temasek currently holds 8.2% or 18,346,975 ordinary shares.[2] Temasek holds their stake though Fullerton Fund Investments.[3]
In February 2013, RRJ Capital made another investment in Cheniere that has been estimated at around $300 million. In the same transaction, Blackstone Group LP and Seatown Holdings, a unit of Temasek, invested an additional $72 million. [4]
Alaskan LNG Project
A consortium led by the Blackstone group agreed to invest $1.5 billion to help develop an offshore LNG terminal in Alaska. This consortium included the China Investment Corporation, and the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation.[5]
