Commercialbank is the largest bank based in Qatar. The Qatar Investment Authority currently owns 16.67% of the company.
The QIA purchased three stakes as part of the Qatar stimulus. The second stake of 10,310,265 shares was purchased for $221 million. The third stake was done in February 2011, which the QIA received 20,620,530.[1] The QIA currently holds 41,241,060 shares
