The Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, Daimler, and the Lagardère Group are major investors in EADS. The Qatar Investment Authority had been rumored as a possible buyer of stake in 2007.

Divisions
Airbus
Airbus is a leading commercial and military aircraft manufacturer. Commercial products include the new 525-seat A380 double-decker passenger plane and the smaller A320 passenger plane; military products include special mission aircraft, such as the A330 Multi-Role Transport Tanker, an in-flight fueling plane.
Eurocopter
Eurocopter is one of the world’s leading helicopter manufacturers, controlling more than 50% of the market for civil and "parapublic" helicopters, as well as a growing military business.
Major projects include the seven-passenger Ecureuil, the EC135 and EC145 twin-engine rotor copter, and the military's NH90 and Tiger models.
Astrium
Astrium is Europe’s largest space group, and the third largest worldwide. It is the leading European supplier of satellites, launchers and space services.
Major programs include Galileo, a 30-satellite commercial and public navigation system, Ariane 5, a heavy-lift satellite launcher, the Columbus space laboratory and unmanned Automated Transfer Vehicle, European contributions to the International Space Station, and Paradigm, a commercial provider of military satellite communications that has secured a £3.6 billion contract with the British armed forces through the Skynet 5 program.
Defence & Security
Defence & Security is the division that controls EAD's military and global security activities. It's programs include the Eurofighter combat jet, as well as missile systems, defence communication systems, defence electronics, and other services.
