Esam Yousif Janahi

Esam Yousif Janahi has served as Chairman of Gulf Finance House EC since August 2007; he was previously CEO. He has also held positions at First Islamic Investment Bank (now Arcapita Bank), Islamic Investment Company of the Gulf, TAIB Bank and TAIB Securities, and Merrill Lynch International.
He currently also serves as the Chairman of Bahrain Aluminium Extrusion Company, First Energy Bank, Injazat Technology Fund, Gulf Energy, Energy City Qatar, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Bayan Holding Company, International Mercantile Exchange Holdings LLC, Jordan Gate, Vision 3 LLC, and Royal Village Investment Companies. He is the Vice Chairman of Al Areen Holding, QInvest LLC, Khaleeji Commercial Bank and Al-Khaleej Development, and is the Deputy Chairman of Masraf Al-Rayan. He is also a Director of the Arab Finance House, Gulf Holding Company, Legends Development Company, and Bahrain Islamic Bank BSC. He is a member of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Janahi holds a BSc in Industrial Management from the University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia, and an MBA from Hull University in the United Kingdom.
