FountainVest

FountainVest is an investment fund based in Shanghai and Hong Kong. It was set up in 2007 by Frank Tang and three former staffers of Temasek Holdings. The fund will be targeting mid-market opportunities in China with investments of $50 million to $150 million. The fund currently has around $1 billion.
In January 2008, Temasek Holdings along with two Canadian pension funds, Canada Pension Plan and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, invested over $450 million. The fund has start its first investments in March 2009.
