GPT Group is an Australian property firm. The Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) subsidiary GIC Real Estate has a stake in the company. On October 23, 2008, GIC RE bought A$250 million worth of securities and underwrite a further A$504 million of securities. As a result of buying these securities, the GIC will control between 12.0% and 18.0% of GPT. The GIC may appoint a member to the GPT broad of directors. Lim Swe Guan was appointed to this position in April 2009.
The GPT Group also has a joint venture with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority that bought the 111 Eagle Street tower. The Government Pension Fund of Norway held a 0.55% stake in the company as of December 31, 2009. The stake is valued at $27,435,655.
