After the creation of the China Investment Corporation, rumors that the Central Huijin would create its own investment vehicle were still swirling. According to The New Zealand Herald, the Central Huijin vehicle would be called the State Investment Company and be headed by Guo Shuqing, chairman of the China Construction Bank.
