Host Hotels & Resorts and RECO Hotels JV Private Limited is a joint venture between Host Hotels & Resorts and GIC Real Estate, a subsidiary of Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. It was created in March 2008 and is based in Singapore. It will focus on buying property in Asia and Australia, most likely hotels. Its initial capitalization was $600 million but after leverage is factored in, it is expected to have $1.5 billion to $2 billion.
