IFC African, Latin American and Caribbean Fund

IFC African, Latin American and Caribbean Fund is a private equity fund created by the International Finance Corporation, a unit of the World Bank. The fund will buy stakes in mid-cap companies in South America and Africa.
The Korea Investment Corporation will be investing $100 million into the fund. The investment was announced in March 2010. A month later, the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) announced that it would join the fund with a $100 million investment.
