Intel-CIC partnership

Intel-CIC partnership is venture between the China Investment Corporation and Intel Capital, a unit of Intel. The venture will invest in technology companies that have either been established or are just starting up. The venture will focus on software and services, mobility and digital home. The venture will look for investments outside of China. Press Release
It is unknown how much this venture will be capitalized with. This is the first sector specific venture the CIC has made. The venture fits well into CIC's investment strategy. This is the not the first time Intel Capital has teamed up with a sovereign wealth fund. Intel Capital joined with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) to invest in Kingsoft, a Chinese software company.
