Investcorp is an investment fund founded in 1982. It is based in London but is originally from Bahrain. Investcorp have been extensively involved with the Bahrain government. They have completed 60 transactions with a combined value of over $19 billion
In September 2008, Investcorp launched a $1 billion fund aimed at investing in loans in the US real estate market. An unknown Sovereign Wealth Fund invested $850 million in the vehicle.
