JC Flowers and CIC fund

This fund is a joint venture between JC Flowers & Company and the China Investment Corporation. This venture will initially contain $4 billion to invest in various sectors. The CIC is expected to contribute around $3.2 billion for an 80% stake, while J.C. Flowers is expected to contribute $800 million for a 20% stake. Although CIC will not be involved in the regular management, it will be briefed ahead of significant investments.
The fund was formed in May 2008 and started operations in fall of 2008.
