Libyan Investment Authority in the United Kingdom

The Libya Investment Authority has invested in the United Kingdom.
In February 2010, Rajab Layas, a official at the LIA, said the LIA would invest over $8 billion (₤5 billion) in the UK over the next few years. No other details were released. [1] This is not uncommon for LIA officials to exaggerate investment claims as they did with Italy claiming they would invest billions but in reality have failed to make that pledge.
