Mapletree Industrial Trust is a real estate unit. It is a subsidiary of Mapletree Investments, which in turn is a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings.
MIT held a $654 million public offering on October 21, 2010. MIT will be selling 40.7% or 594.9 million units of the trust. The fund is expected to use the funds to purchase properties in Singapore and repay debt. 82.2% went to institutional investors. The remaining units were sold to retail investors in Singapore.
