Masdar City is a proposed $22 billion city in Abu Dhabi. The project is being managed by Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company). The city will attempt to be the world's first zero-carbon, zero-waste, car-free city. The government of Abu Dhabi has pledge $15 billion for the project. The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority has also promised to invest in several real estate projects within the city.
