Olam International is commodities company based in Singapore. It is one of the largest cashew exporters. The largest shareholder is Kewalram Chanrai Group.
Temasek Holdings currently owns a 19% stake, making Temasek the second largest shareholder.[1][2] Temasek initially acquired a stake in Olam in 2003, several years before Olam was listed. Temasek increased its stake in June 2009. It paid S$437.5 million for the increased stake. As part of the increased stake, Temasek purchased convertible bonds that once converted would increased its equity stake by 1.5%. Temasek has agreed to purchased any unsubscribe warrants during an Olam rights issue that was announced in December 2012.[3]
The Government Pension Fund of Norway held a 0.39% stake in the company as of December 31, 2009. The stake is valued at $14,716,913.
