Oman & Emirates Investment Holding Company
Oman & Emirates Investment Holding Company (OEIHC) was established in 1993 through the Oman-UAE joint high commission to instigate, encourage and invest in projects in both countries. The company offers investment advisory services, feasibility studies, and financing of projects in the sectors of trade, industry, mining, tourism and services. They also invest in companies with various industrial activities, such as food processing, livestock and fishing.
Due to failed investments the company experienced a substantial loss in 1999 and as such is now pursuing for a fresh strategy focusing on service sectors, including tourism. Furthermore a capital injection to deal with held-over losses is being sought. The company's brokerage division later merged with Mawarid Securities and Shalman Securities to form the Financial Corporation.
The Company's subsidiaries include United Brokerage Company LLC, United Arab Emirates, Majan Special Opportunities Joint Investment Account, Omani Pedigree Goat Breeding Co. LLC, Omani Euro Food Industries Co. SAOG and Dhofar Fisheries Industries Co. SAOG.
