Qatar-Britain Clean Energy Investment Fund

Qatar-Britain Clean Energy Investment Fund is a fund established by the United Kingdom and the Qatar Investment Authority. The fund, which will have £250 million, was established after the leaders of the UK and Qatar met on November 2, 2008. The fund is to invest in clean energy companies. The QIA will give £150 million, while the UK's Carbon Trust will give £10 million. The Carbon Trust has pledeged that it will attract private companies to invest in the fund worth up £90 million.
