Temasek Holdings
Temasek Holdings owns 18.1% of the bank. Temasek bought its first stake in March 2006 from Khoo Teck Puat's estate, who was Singapore's richest man. The 11.55% stake cost $6.5 billion. Fullerton Management Private Limited is the investment vehicle that holds the stake. Two of Fullerton's subsidiary hold part of the stake: Dover Investments Pte. Ltd, and Cavanagh Investments Pte Ltd. There's been some talk over a takeover by Temasek. On May 2, 2008, Temasek's holding decreased to 18.99% from 19.03 due to unknown reasons, Temasek did not sell any stock. Temasek is expected to take part in the bank's 2010 capital raising.[1]

Bonds
Temasek issued $635 million of three-year zero-coupon bonds in October 2011. The bonds can be exchanged into Standard Chartered stock at a 27% premium. [2]
