GIC Real Estate, a subsidiary of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, holds 10,798,846 shares of the trust. This is equal to a 5.8% stake. The GIC purchased this stake on June 24, 2011. Strategic Hotels & Resorts have had a working relationship since their joint investment in InterContinental Chicago and Hyatt Regency La Jolla hotels in 2007.
