Thames Water

Thames Water is a water utility company in the United Kingdom.
The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority purchased a 9.9% stake of the company from a consortium that currently fully controls the company. The consortium, named Kemble Water Holdings, purchased Thames Water in 2006. ADIA used their subsidiary, Infinity Investments.[1]
A month after the ADIA investment, the China Investment Corporation purchased a 8.68% stake in the company in December 2012 for an undisclosed amount.[2]
In the fall of 2006, the Qatar Investment Authority was involved in the bidding for Thames Water for a reported £8 billion but another bidder, Macquarie, the Australian banking group, had a slightly higher bid.
