The Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company (Qatari Diar), a subsidiary of the Qatar Investment Authority, entered a strategic partnership with Vinci on February 4, 2010. Qatari Diar will transfer Cegelec, a technology and electrical engineering company, to Vinci for an shares in Vinci. Qatari Diar will receive 31.5 million shares in the company. As a result of this transaction, Qatari Diar will be the second largest shareholder. Qatari Diar purchased Cegelec for $2.652 billion in 2008. As of April 14, 2010, Qatari owns 5.8% of total shares.
The Government Pension Fund of Norway held a 1.92% stake in the company as of December 31, 2009. The stake is valued at $563,727,976.
