Vu Van Ninh

Vu Van Ninh is the Chairman of the Vietnam State Capital Investment Corp (SCIC) and the current Minister of Finance for Vietnam. He is a member of The Central Communist Party of Vietnam and was appointed to be Minister of Finance in 2006. Previously, he was the Deputy Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee and the Deputy Minister of Finance.
As the Minister of Finance, Mr Ninh is responsible for providing general and comprehensive directions and instructions on the implementation of all tasks of the whole Ministry and Finance Sector. He also makes decisions on the Ministry's strategies, policies, mechanism and major tasks.
Mr Ninh was appointed by the Prime Minister to be SCIC’s Board Chairman on temporary basis on January 01, 2008.
