AES Wind Generation is a subsidiary of AES Corporation. The subsidiary provides wind energy generation. It has a total of 1,300 megawatts of capacity and a further 525mw under construction. The company operates in Europe, United States, and China.
The China Investment Corporation took a 35% stake in the company for $571 million on November 5, 2009. This investment was part of a larger deal involving the parent of AES WING Generation which saw the CIC take a 15% stake in AES Corporation.
