Abu Dhabi and Qatar Fund is a joint investment fund created by the Abu Dhabi's International Petroleum Investment Company and the Qatar Investment Authority in March 2008. The fund will initially have $2 billion. It is not clear where the focus of this fund will be. The QIA tends not to focus on energy related investments, while the IPIC does. Khadem Al Qubaisi, IPIC’s managing director, said, “We will look at any opportunities where we can make money and add value. That could be anywhere. We plan to invest in all sectors, including oil and petrochemicals”
