Credit Suisse is a major financial company based in Switzerland.
The Qatar Investment Authority currently holds a 6.17% stake. The QIA first purchased 1-2% on February 15, 2008. The QIA held, at one time, a 9% stake before it decreasing to the current stake. Credit Suisse agreed to sell $6.17 billion of convertible bonds to the QIA and Olayan Group in February 2011. The notes will convert after October 2013. [1]
The Government Pension Fund of Norway held a 1.72% stake in the company as of December 31, 2009. The stake is valued at $1,003,815,500.
