Hu Xiaolian is a non executive director of the China Investment Corporation and Deputy Governor of People's Bank of China. She was the former head of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange. She is was a assistant governor of the People's Bank of China until assuming the role of Deputy Governor in 2009. She was head of SAFE between 2005 to 2009. She is the highest ranked women in the China's fiscal policy.
She believes that the Yuan must be tied to the US dollar.
