Qatar and Oman Investment Company was established in July 2006 by the Qatar Investment Authority and the Government of Oman. $82.4 million was put into the creation of the company. This company would invest in both countries. Each government has chosen certain sectors to receive investments. 25% of the investments in Qatar would be in the financial services sector. This company is based in Doha. In June 2007, the Company underwent an Inital Public Offering. It offered 60% of total shares on the Doha Securities Market. The IPO was equally divided between Qatari and Omani investors. It raised $60 million.
